Ministry Worksite Details

 

C.R.O.S.  Ministries 

C.R.O.S. Ministries – Christians Reaching Out to Society.  Their mission is to identify unmet needs of the community and collaborate with community groups to meet those needs.  Volunteers assist by serving in local soup kitchens and helping with summer camp for local youth. 

Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County 

A non-profit organization serving as a catalyst for community collaboration to prevent and end homelessness in the community.  Volunteers assist by sorting and organizing items at their donation center and assisting with special events. 

 The Lord’s Place 

A non-profit organization dedicated to changing the lives of homeless families and individuals in Palm Beach County by providing a men's campus, women's campus and family campus.  Volunteers assist with various opportunities from serving meals, working in community gardens, campus clean-up/repair and special projects as needed.  

North Lake Rehabilitation and Health Center 

A community center dedicated to helping our residents maximize their potential and live their lives to the fullest offering a modern, comfortable and secure facility where each individual receives the finest sub-acute medical care, rehabilitation services and 24 hour skilled nursing care. Volunteers spend time with residents during social times and provide friendship and conversation with often lonely residents.

 Real Life Children’s Ranch 

A non-profit, faith based organization offering residential, family style group foster homes for boys and girls who have been abused, abandoned and/or neglected.  They provide children the best possible care in a secure family atmosphere and guide them into fulfilling and productive futures.  Volunteers assist with maintenance, minor repairs, grounds keeping, painting, landscaping, and spending time with the children on campus. 

Palm Beach County Food Bank 

A food recovery and distribution program that collects, recovers and distributes nearly 5 million pounds of food to food pantries, soup kitchens and homeless shelters within 105 different agencies.  Volunteers assist warehouse staff in receiving, sorting and packing donations for distribution. 

Quantum House 

A caring and supportive hospitality home that lessens the burden for families whose children are receiving treatment at local hospitals for serious medical conditions.  They serve more than 500 family members each year from around the world.  Volunteers assist in preparing meals, gardening, organizing donations, helping with chores, preparing for special events, spending time with the families or managing a car wash.

Seagull Services 

A private non-profit agency, serving teens and adults with an array of developmental disabilities, through programs that enable them to fulfill their life's full potential.  It is a vocational training facility, charter school and summer day camp.  Volunteers assist clients with their work tasks and spend the day facilitating creative activities.

 Urban Youth Impact 

A non-profit program seeking to reverse troubling trends and fulfill its mission by offering programs designed to develop critical life-skills that result is less juvenile crime, fewer teen pregnancies, less substance abuse, less child abuse/domestic violence and fewer school drop outs.  Volunteers assist by interacting with inner-city youth, neighborhood clean-up, gardening, summer camp, evening street ministry and much more.

Riviera Beach Housing Project

Created by Hearts of Palm, a program designed to work with local families with Code Violations to restore their home and property to code standards.  Volunteers assist with landscaping, painting, minor repairs, pressure cleaning, property clean-up and various other special projects within our community.

 Big Dog Ranch Rescue 

The largest cage-free, no kill dog rescue in the country, saving more than 32,000 lives to date.  Big Dog Ranch Rescue is a loving transitional home which completely re-imagines the "rescue facility" as a campus-centered "rescue community." Volunteers assist with special ranch projects as needed, walking, bathing and feeding dogs.

Belle Glade Life Center

A summer program that transforms local youth through intentional relationship building educationally, emotionally, socially and spiritually.  Volunteers assist the staff by teaching life skills, spending time with children ages 5-18 and assisting with special summer day trips.
